imagesJPFCCEGXOnce upon a time there was a young man, walking through a small town. He wondered around with no clear purpose and he seemed to be caught in his own world and thoughts.  Suddenly he paused and he seemed to realize that he had passed something that he had not seen before. He turned and walked to see what he had missed earlier on.  Across the street he saw a little shop. He tried to read what the sign above the shop said.. but it was an unfinished word.  imagesCYWR8ASUHe crossed the street to get closer to the shop. He looked through the window and on the windowsill  he saw something that looked like flakes.

His curiousity got hold of him, he put his hand on the old doorknob and pushed it open. As he entered  little bells started ringing to announce his presence. He walked inside the shop and at the back he saw a figure… He couldn’t quite make out what it was.. As he got closer.. he saw a little man.. a kind of fairy tale figure.. who looked at him and smiled.

man‘What do you sell?’ the young man asked. The man smiled and said. “What do you think?’  ‘I sell anything you want. You name it.’ The young man stared at the fairy tail kind of man until it became clear. His heart started pounding faster.. He could ask anything he wanted!

As fast as he could he spoke without a pause: “I want a good job, make a lot of money, I want a loving and caring wife, sweet children and a nice house. I want to relax once every now and then. I would like to understand people and I want to play the piano.. and… He paused to catch his breath.. “Hold it right there, the man interrupted while raising his pale looking hand. I don’t think you quite understand… and he pointed towards the windowsill. “I sell seeds..not fully grown plants”. The young man thought about what he had heard and as he looked up again.. the man was gone.. All he saw was a little pot with a tiny plant in it, and a note that said:

“You plant your own garden instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. In other words, take responsibility for your ow needs and your own happiness.”
